American Welding Society

The American Welding Society (AWS) was founded in 1919 as a multifaceted,
nonprofit organization with a goal to advance the science, technology
and application of welding and related joining disciplines. From factory
floor to high-rise construction, from military weaponry to home
products, AWS continues to lead the way in supporting welding education
and technology development to ensure a strong, competitive and exciting
way of life for all Americans.

Missouri AFL-CIO

The Missouri AFL-CIO is comprised of unions in Missouri that are affiliated
with the national American Federation of Labor – Congress of Industrial
Organizations (AFL-CIO). The Missouri AFL-CIO represents over 500,000
union members and retirees in Missouri. Approximately 391 unions and
councils are affiliated with the state federation.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

OSHA’s mission is to assure the safety and health of America’s workers
by setting and enforcing standards; providing training, outreach, and
education; establishing partnerships; and encouraging continual
improvement in workplace safety and health.

Helmets To Hardhats

Helmets to Hardhats is co-sponsored by all fifteen Building and Construction Trades organizations, as well as their employer associations, which together represent about 82,000 contractors. Labor leaders have embraced the program, eager to help U.S. soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen transfer their experience and can-do attitudes into secure jobs within the construction industry.
