Detailer Sketcher
Sheet metal detailing, also known as sketching or CAD-ing (computer-aided drafting), is performed by a skilled commercial HVAC tradesperson who has advanced to provide coordination between the hardware fabricators and the installers from various trades. A certified detailer works with project documents, plans and specifications, takes field measurements, and creates digital 3-D drawings utilizing building information modeling (BIM) software.
